The Day before Tomorrow

So to say i'm not nervous about the shoot is an understatement. I always get like this before some big event.

I think too much and get all nervous and things tend to go to shit. i do admit i got a better grip on myself(gay) than on other shoots.

Just so much planning has gone into this and i hate for things to just fuck up. Murphy's law is a hateful bitch goddess. Pray that i dont have any bad juju. or jewjew. or a jew period.

On the eve of one of the most ambitious things i've ever taken on, i'm calm. Not rushy. Not panicky. Just calm.

I don't know if that necessary scares me or just i got my shit planned out with some air tight precautions.

I'm also really blessed to have my actors and everyone involved be into this project. For some reason, this project is very self-deprecating for me. I criticize it to my actors, to potential producers, to everyone i can get in contact with.
And i dont know why.

To me, it was just a stupid concept that 2 ppl thought was funny. Then when i tell people the concept, the smile on their face is that of instant approval. Whether or not they'll see it... well with a total count of more than 3,000 views spread out across the web (funny or die, break, youtube) thats not half bad.

Like i said before, this project, this webisode, is probably the biggest undertaking of my life so far.

Have i done all this in vain? I hope not. I hope this will be viewed as a bookmark of where i was as a filmmaker in my life. That during this period of time, I made these. That i poured so much time and effort into my craft.

I hope you laugh. I hope you have questions. I hope you'll be moved by it.
In fact, i dont hope for those things. I know you'll laugh. At it or with it. If not, a smile.

What i do want is an emotion. A sense that i've been practicing in my craft.

What i dont want, is pure and utter nothing.

Think what you want about the film(s)... as long as you think something. I've done my job.

After several months of nothing...

Comes something! And what a something it is. The project is back online and everything is set for a December shoot!

The audition is next week and I cannot wait to see all the talent that's coming in.

The script is going through final polishing and should be ready to go by next week's audition. I'm really excited that I can finally put this back into motion after months and months of set backs.

EXCITED!!!

Episode I: Prime vs. The Date, 3% done

So the script for Episode one, "Prime vs. The Date",is ready to go for a summer production.

Its still going through pre-pro so thats the status it is in right now.

Hopefully everything will work itself out.

Production wrapped.. roll out to post!

So the long and archuious (sp?) journey of past prime is 1/2 complete.the production wrapped in quicker time than i initally thought which is good i guess. got off all the shots i want but is a lil concerned about the coverage.

what ever the case may be.. the footage looks absolutely amazing. But seems production is taking another chunk out of the budget as i ran out of memory to edit this bad boy on..

the whole thing takes up about 60 gb of mem. thats without edits..
so now i'll have 2 go invest in a brand new HD.

What a first day

So as I was going to get the camera this morning..I got a call from my rental shop.

8:45am: Left house

9:55am: got a call that my camera is in Glendale and it wont be here till 11:30am.

WHAT!?! 7 minutes away from the shop in Hollywood and they tell me I have to drive all the way to my WORK!?

WHICH WAS ONLY 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE!??

Pissed off and times a tickin.....I gathered up my shit at my rental shop. I didn't want to haggle with them at that moment cause I had too much on my mind.
Got my audio and got the fuck out....

10:05am: Drove my ass all th way back to Glendale....

11AM: Got my camera. Unfortunetly.....I still had to drive from MY WORK TO KEVIN'S HOUSE TO SHOOT. All the way in Anaheim!! FUCK.....

11:45am: After hauling some serious ass to Anaheim..got there and started to shoot.

3:03pm: Wrapped shooting at Kevins

3:30pm: Shoot at bicks.

5:20pm: Wrap at bicks.

6pm: Had dinner with Alexa to go over todays shoot......

now: Sleep.

Roll out....

Tomorrows the big day..

The start of principal photography begins tomorrow....and boy am I sore all over...

i told myself to not let the stress get to me...but it has.

Hopefully it'll all turn out great.

The teaser script is done and ready to go for a Feb 1st shoot.

I just hope everything goes as planned because its Super Bowl Weekend that weekend...
